Here’s your chance to write a book. Well, part of one anyway.
BMA Colorado is now accepting editorial submissions for our first business-to-business marketing book, Advice from the Top – the Expert Guide to B2B Marketing. This is your opportunity to get published alongside some of the greats in our very own B2B marketing community.
Share your expertise and knowledge with marketers around the country and perhaps impress your friends and peers (maybe even your boss) at the same time. Content for the book will be determined and written exclusively by you, the members of BMA Colorado. However, it will have a national audience as the book will be promoted and distributed throughout the national BMA network.
Your contribution can be narrow and specific. Or go big and write a broader exposé. A few guidelines—refrain from any blatant self-promotion, think about framing your chapter around a case study (if your submission is accepted, you'll need you to include a case study), and keep it on the topic of B2B marketing.
Suggested topics can range from marketing strategy, planning, content, social media, marketing ROI, demand or lead generation, integrating marketing and sales, etc. Here are several specific ideas to get you thinking:
• How to get C suite support for your marketing programs
• From Generation X to Y to Z—tips for shaping your message to appeal to changing demographics
• My success in word of mouth marketing
• How to identify and measure your marketing program's ROI.
• Blind leading the blind? Why market research is critical and where to begin.
• The five key marketing components to a successful product launch
This book is an extraordinary opportunity to share what you have learned and experienced while navigating the world of B2B marketing.
The first step—complete the online Editorial Submissions form available at the BMA Colorado web site. All you need to do at this point is provide an overview of your chapter idea and some details of the accompanying case study. Complete the online form by July 30, 2010, and your contribution will be considered for the book.
This is an exclusive invitation to BMA Colorado members. If you are not currently a BMA member but want to share your insight into the lessons you have learned along the way, then join BMA today and begin reaping the benefits of a BMA membership.
For more information about the book, contact Marilee Yorchak or Rich Carvill.
